Kids' Art Classes/Teen Art Classes

Kids Art Week  July 8-12 2024  Registration May 1st 2024. 

Kids Art  Camp Classes-  Morning Class: 10AM-12PM    Lunch: 12PM-1PM    Afternoon class: 1PM-3PM

 

Kid’s Camp & Teen Art Week would not be possible without our instructors who volunteer their time to share their art ideas and teach during art week, volunteers who assist your children and instructors, members, league staff and families who enjoy attending our camps annually.

You may print and email the registration form to mlota@sbcglobal.net.   Your child is not confirmed in a class until payment is received and processed.

As always, registration forms are available in the office and payment may be made via cash, check or credit card.

Baking Muffins

Beginners baking class for kid! We'll be making muffins from scratch and learning how to make one recipe and using different add-ins to create multiple kids of muffins.

Specialty Cakes A&B

Friday Baking class 10-12 yr. olds. Advanced baking class kids will learn to make Mini Mexican Chocflan Cakes!  Please note:  Requires morning & afternoon registration

Sewing Group 1 & Group 2

Details to come

Campers will enjoy sewing this pocket pillow.  Using their talents in sewing with instructions for a book pillow of their own with a handle & pocket to slide your current "read" in.

Cupcake Baking & Decorating


Students will enjoy baking from scratch and learning about measurements. They decorate their own cupcakes by learning how to make homemade buttercream icing & basic piping techniques. 

 This baking class requires morning and afternoon registration

Painting Group 3

Create your own landscape design using the elements of art with an emphasis on composition.

Cartoon Drawing

Our ever so popular cartoon drawing class returns this year.

Painting Groups 1 & 2

An introduction to some of the basics of art composition to include line, shapes, color and texture. Students will create original abstract acrylic paintings.

Acrylic Paint Pour

Learning a combination of colors, techniques with acrylic pour. Applying colours, puddles, pools and marble like patterns.

Junk Drawer Art

Returning for another year, campers will learn that junk is an exciting art medium. They will create dimensional art using everything but the kitchen sink..and maybe, we'll that in, too!  An excellent class to foster creativity in your child. students always enjoy creating their very unique masterpiece.

Mono Print Making

Campers learn to make monoprints using many kids of techniques.  They will learn to print using unique objects as well as make their own stamps.  Lots of discovery and fun to be had!

Paper Craft

Campers will make a variety of fun paper critters & projects

Fabric Painting

Painting on fabric bag with handle

Foil Embossing

choosing fun and creative objects using foil and embossing techniques  to create a dimensional piece.

Making Felt

Making art from a sheep's wool.

Wood Burning

Group 3 Ages 10-12

In this class, students will learn various aspects of woodburning with extra emphasis

on safety. After a brief introduction, students will be allowed to experiment and develop techniques before beginning a final project that they decide to make.

Finger Painting Group 1

Show your artistic views through finger paints

Painting with Palette Knife Group 3

Techniques where paint is applied to a paper  or canvas using a palette knife. Applying thick to create rich textured effect.

Quillow Sewing Group 3

Campers will be making 40x50 quilt that folds up into a pillow. Material will vary. This class requires morning and afternoon session
