KID'S CAMP was a huge success this year. The kids had a great time. According to the vote of the children, they would like to do a repeat next year. This years' theme was "Just Art". The children studied the artists and their techniques from Romantism, Baroque, Michalangelo, Impressionism, and so on. They worked on projects such as web abstract painting (using spider webs to paint on a canvas board), painting tote bags in various designs, wire sculpture, clay sculpture, weaving, painting still lifes (fresco), found art (taking various objects and making art), making masks, and drawing. Found art seemed to be one of the favorites. The volunteers also had a great time.
