Deborah Setser is a landscape artist who enjoys impressionism as well as realism.  Most of her work is in an impressionistic form. She also enjoys the realism of portraiture of both people and animals. Art has become her second career after healthcare. She first started painting in 2009 after her close friend and artist, Marisa Ponder, taught her how to paint where she learned that art was deeply healing, redeeming and freeing. Once she started she was hooked and couldn’t stop if she wanted to. She began teaching in 2012 and found great satisfactions in witnessing others find the joy of painting. She often says that teaching has made her a better artist and that if she can learn how to paint anyone can! Teaching painting is like taking students on a guided tour. She breaks the painting process down to simple steps with easy paint application.
